    Description

1933 All-Star Reunion Team Signed Baseball. A half century after Comiskey Park hosted the first Midsummer Classic in an attempt to rejuvenate interest in the game in the midst of the Great Depression, nine participants in that inaugural event returned to Chicago to celebrate the event's Golden Anniversary. Each has applied his 9+/10 black ink signature to the hide of this 1983 Official All-Star Game ball: Gomez, Cronin, Gehringer, Averill, Ferrell, Berger, Schumacher, Bartell and Chapman. The ball exhibits some scattered toning, but nothing that combats the boldness of the autographs. With original team balls from the first All-Star game commanding five-figure sums, this becomes an attractive alternative. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
