    Description

1932 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball.

UPDATE: Wilcy Moore signature is secretarial.

Dizzy Dean once said, "It ain't braggin' if you can back it up," and fellow Hall of Fame legend Babe Ruth apparently did just that when he pointed to the center field fence of Wrigley Field in Game Three of the 1932 World Series and then delivered the next pitch to a spot beyond. Over eight decades later, the debate still rages--"Called Shot" or feeble fable. Even those who witnessed the event in person failed to reach a consensus, but the mystery only deepens the appeal of relics from this special vintage. Here we find an official sphere that passed through the hands of the World Championship squad.

This OAL (Harridge) ball is autographed in steel-tip black fountain pen by twenty-three Bronx Bombers, nine of which are Hall of Famers. The Babe (5/10) takes his standard sweet spot position, surrounded by Lou Gehrig (4/10), Bill Dickey, Earle Combs, Tony Lazzeri, Joe Sewell, Lefty Gomez, Red Ruffing, and Herb Pennock. Others include George Pipgras, Myril Hoag, Sam Byrd, and Johnny Allen.

The ball has toned but the blue OAL stamping is still bold. The signatures average 5/10. With its nine Hall of Fame autographs and championship vintage, this ball would make a proud addition and worthy contribution to any team signed baseball collection. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
