1932 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games Archive with Signed Autographs of Thorpe, Didrikson. Sizeable archive of artifacts from the famous Depression-era Games features far too comprehensive a collection to properly recount here, so we advise interested parties to view the lot in Dallas if at all possible. Best is a scrapbook chock full of cut signatures from such household names as Jim Thorpe, Babe Didrikson, Jesse Owens, Johnny Weismuller, Duke Kahanamoku, Buster Crabbe, Helen Hull Jacobs, Helen Wills Moody, Ralph Metcalf and Bill Tilden. A couple hundred autographs are here in total, all as strong as the day they were signed. Also in the collection are over twenty-five ticket stubs to Olympic events, an Adult and Child admission pass in leather wallet, a couple dozen original news wire sheets, the "Official Report" enormous leather bound book (leather spine piece detached but present, otherwise VG), and an attractive bound volume of official programs for the Games. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
