    Description

1932 Babe Ruth Oversized Culver Service Photograph, Type 1. Simply charming sandlot shot finds the Babe operating as an umpire behind a determined pinstriped batter and a masked catcher. Handwritten "Babe Ruth P29" in lower border suggests that this image was published in a book, and date stamp on verso of "Sep 22 1932" is just nine days before the Babe's famous World Series "Called Shot." Edge wear and some creasing does not affect central focus of image. Verso offers "Culver Service" and "Photo by Ray Jones" stamping. 11x14". Confirmed as "Type 1" by PSA/DNA. CGC grade: Fine.
