1930's Walter Johnson Handwritten Signed Letter. While it's tough enough to find a quality autograph from this inaugural class Hall of Famer, handwritten letters are particularly scarce. Here we find a cordial response to a fan's letter, scripted in black fountain pen ink which has mellowed to a brown shade while still retaining 9+/10 boldness. It appears that the Big Train changed pens to sign the letter, as the "Sincerely Walter Johnson" appears in flawless black ink. The letter has been affixed to a scrapbook page, leaving a band of toning at the top and left edge that only affects the "Germantown, Md" notation at the opening of the letter. On the back of the page are found the autographs of entertainer Jack Benny and St. Louis Cardinals Gashouse Gangster Pepper Martin, each 10/10. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
