1930's Baseball Autograph Book with Ruth, Ott, Wagner. It's autograph collecting in its purest form--just an album, a pencil, and a bit of persistence. This volume was compiled by a young man who sold newspapers outside Forbes Field, and reportedly it was the day that Ruth hit the final home runs of his career that the youngster tracked down the Bambino and his victim Guy Bush. Nearly two hundred autographs are scattered throughout the pages of this volume, sometimes one on a page, sometimes several, sometimes on just one side, sometimes both. For obvious reasons, the players are all National Leaguers. We can report that none of the best signatures in the volume back up to any of the other best ones, so you will be able to mine all Hall of Famers listed without losing any others. The Cooperstown crew: Ruth, Ott, Wagner, Hoyt (2), Paul Waner, Lloyd Waner, Traynor, Vaughan, Kelly (2), Cuyler, Stengel, Hubbell, Maranville, Durocher, Dean, Mize. All signatures are as bold as they were on the date of application, a solid 9+/10 from cover to cover. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
