1930's Baseball Autograph Albums Signed by 300+ with Ott, Klein, Len Koenecke. Being the son of an executive for a Manhattan radio advertising firm had some serious perks for the original owner of this pair of charming albums, packed to the gills with autographs from the best and brightest of the pre-war diamond. While catalog text couldn't possibly convey the breadth of the collection of signatures, we note the following highlights: Ott, Klein (2), Len Koenecke (beaten to death with a fire extinguisher by an airplane crewmember attempting to subdue him from drunkenly commandeering the cockpit controls in 1935), Griffith, Hornsby, Dean, Ted Williams, Hubbell, Travis Jackson, Gehringer, Ruel, Lobert, Judge and even boxing Hall of Famer Barney Ross. One album is mainly pencil, the other mainly pen, all autographs essentially Mint. Book covers show wear but interior pages remain damage-free. Many Hall of Famers beyond those listed. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
