    Description

1930's Babe Ruth Signed Baseball. Don't ask us to explain this ball--we can't. The assortment of names is bizarre, and the notation apparently pegging the ball's use to a June 22, 1931 meeting between the Reds and Braves would make no sense for Ruth, who would have been in the Yankee dugout at the time. But a little mystery isn't necessary a bad thing, and the brilliantly bold black fountain pen ink sweet spot signature from the Bambino is pure hobby goodness. His 9/10 autograph joins lighter offerings from Red Lucas and a couple others which have become impossible to discern. ONL (Heydler) ball is deeply toned but still presents nicely. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
