    Description

1930's-40's Babe Ruth & Hall of Famers Signed Baseball. We haven't been able to figure out the theme or occasion of this ball, and it's entirely possible that it was signed over a period of years, presented to baseball celebrities whenever they appeared within the original collector's reach. The ball likely began life as a Ruth single, as the Babe's 8/10 blue ink offering appears at his customary sweet spot position. Fellow Hall of Famers appear nearby: Cochrane (5/10), Schalk (8/10), Speaker (8/10), Feller (8/10). Closing out the roster is Rip Collins of Gashouse Gang fame (8/10), future Hall of Fame president Sid Keener (7/10) and Lou Brissie (7/10), who overcame a devastating war injury to pitch in the Majors. The "Harwood Official League" ball is lightly and evenly toned. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA
