    Description

1930 Philadelphia Athletics Team Signed World Series Program. If there was any team that could compete with the 1927 New York Yankees as the most talent-packed roster ever assembled, it was the second great dynasty of Connie Mack, which defended the American League flag from the pinstriped juggernaut for three seasons (1929-31), winning the World Series in the first and second. Here we present one of our favorite autographed items we've handled from that unstoppable herd of white elephants, consigned to auction by the son of infielder Eric McNair, best remembered today as a member of the historic 1934 Tour of Japan. Twenty-one team members have signed this official World Series program, each beside his own photograph. The names speak to the team's dominance: Cochrane, Simmons, Foxx, Grove, coach Eddie Collins, Dykes, Quinn, Haas, Earnshaw and more. All signatures remain as bold as the day they were applied. Program exhibits handling wear, particularly to the cover, but none of the autographs are negatively affected.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
