1930 John Grabowski Signed Glove Contract. Exceedingly rare autograph has long stood as a main stumbling block for collectors looking to complete a 1927 Yankees collection. The reasons for his scarcity are two-fold. Though he appeared in seventy games that Murderer's Row season, Grabowski never reached the 300 mark in his career, never becoming a significant target for autograph seekers. And after his career ended, Grabowski's life was tragically cut short by a 1946 house fire, at the age of forty-six. Here we find the finest example of his signature known, a 10/10 black fountain pen signature on a Draper & Maynard sporting goods contract, pledging exclusivity to the brand in exchange for reduced price gloves. The single typed page exhibits original mailing folds but no other issues of note. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
