1930 Brooklyn Robins Team Signed Baseball. The Hall of Fame managerial disciple of Ned Hanlon was enjoying the seventeenth season at the helm of the Brooklyn Nationals when he applied his tough and desirable autograph to this ONL (Heydler) ball at the Clearwater, Florida spring training grounds. Though the team would not become the dominating force of the National League for close to two decades, the talent featured on this rare orb is impossible to deny: Dazzy Vance, Al Lopez, Burleigh Grimes and Jesse Haines add further Hall of Fame lustre to the proceedings. Twenty autographs are here in total, with Babe Herman, Neal Finn, Wally Gilbert and Babe Phelps among the more recognizable names. All signatures listed rate at 5/10 or better, with the HOF'ers topping that mark by strong margins. Small personnel variations led to the conclusion that this was a spring training ball, though the addition of two legends to what the regular season roster would ultimately become makes this ball even more desirable than the norm.
