1929 Ty Cobb Handwritten Signed Postcard. "Having a wonderful trip," Cobb writes on a postcard from a Berlin hotel. "Have enjoyed every hour of it. Family with me and traveling by auto and seeing it all. Saw zeppelin start on trip around world. This is some speedy city. Luck and regards, Ty Cobb." The zeppelin to which Cobb refers is the famous Hindenburg, which circumnavigated the globe in twelve days in 1929 and came to its tragic, fiery end at Lakehurst, New Jersey in 1937. All ink is 9/10 or better. Postcard exhibits mailing wear and minor paper loss from scrapbook removal, but writing is unaffected by these issues. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
