1929 Philadelphia Athletics Team Signed World Series Travel Train Menu. Just two weeks before the stock market crash plunged the nation into the Great Depression, the mighty Mackmen were in high spirits, riding the rails back to their Shibe Park hometown after taking the first two games of the World Series at Wrigley. Presented is a special menu for the American League Champions on the Pennsylvania Railroad, autographed by a stunningly large contingent of sixty-six travelers, a mixture of players, wives, executives, coaches and trainers. All the notables are here: Mack, Foxx, Grove, Collins, Cochrane, Simmons, Miller, Earnshaw, Dykes, Walberg, Haas and many, many more. Signature quality averages a conservative 8/10 throughout, and the menu survives with only light, inconsequential handling wear. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
