1928 New York Yankees Partial Team Signed Baseball. Ready for a good research project? A child's notation on the side panel of the presented OAL (Barnard) ball reports, "Yankees 7, Grays 6, Given to Charlie Aug 27, 28." An exhibition of some sort? While one might assign any road team the nickname "Grays," the score doesn't match that date's meeting with the visiting Tigers, nor any other MLB contest near that time. Even if the mystery remains just that, there's much to love about this offering, most notably the bold (7/10) sweet spot offering from Babe Ruth, who is joined by nine teammates including Durocher, Combs, Dickey, Moore, Paschal and more. Signatures are all readily legible, averaging 7/10. The PSA/DNA letter notes a signature removal on the eastern panel. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
