    Description

1927 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. The greatest team in the history of Major League Baseball is faithfully memorialized by this OAL (Johnson) ball bearing the signatures of the elite Murderer's Row. A clubhouse Ruth on the sweet spot is the only stumble, as we find bold and genuine offerings from the likes of Gehrig, Lazzeri, Combs, Pennock, Shocker, Koenig, Collins, Meusel, Bengough, Pipgras, Giard (only season of Yankee service) and even the hunchbacked batboy Eddie Bennett among the twenty-four autographs. A vintage coating of shellac has served its intended purpose of autograph preservation well, sustaining an 8/10 average, while toning the ball in the process. Add a genuine Ruth, take away the shellac, and it's $50,000 without breaking a sweat. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
