1926 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. Just one year prior to assembling the greatest team that ever played, the 1926 New York Yankees squad joined forces on this OAL (Johnson) sphere. Although the sweet spot "Babe" Ruth is a clubhouse example, the remaining signatures make a strong showing, and the vast majority are identical to those on a 1927 team ball, but at a much more affordable price.

"The Iron Horse," Lou Gehrig, takes up residence on one of the side panels. Adding to the Cooperstown cast of characters are Earle Combs, Tony Lazzeri, Herb Pennock and Miller Huggins. Collins, Dugan, Koenig, Meusel, Ruether, Shocker, Bengough, Hoyt, Thomas, Gazella, Paschal, Shawkey, Braxton, Merkle, Severeid, Carlyle, Ward, Adams, McQuaid and a couple others round out the names. Merkle in particular is a very difficult name from this squad as "Bonehead" only played in a single game for the pinstripes that season. The ball is coated with a consistent layer of shellac, and all signatures retain a high degree of boldness of 7/10 to 9/10. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
