1926 Babe Ruth Signed Album Page, PSA/DNA Mint 9. The great Bambino found himself balanced between two of the most storied achievements of his career when he signed and dated this oversized (6.5x7") album page in 9/10 black fountain pen ink on December 28, 1926. A couple months earlier he had clubbed three home runs during a single World Series contest in satisfaction of a promise to a hospitalized young boy named Johnny Sylvester. And four months later he would begin the most heralded season of his career as lead slugger for Murderer's Row, the greatest Yankees edition ever assembled. A die-cut original photograph glued to the album page enhances the display, and the page itself is affixed to a larger backing board for support, with a small degree of bleed-through of the paste only visible upon close inspection. A magnificent exemplar of this essential autograph. Graded LOA from PSA/DNA, Mint 9. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
