1926-27 Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Dual-Signed Baseball. The stamping format of this ONL (Heydler) sphere confines its production to a two-season span, one that assures American League Championship vintage at a minimum. And the appearance of these American League legends on Senior Circuit strongly suggests Fall Classic derivation, either from the fiercely contested seven-game battle with the 1926 Cardinals or the four-game Murderer's Row sweep of the 1927 Pirates. The Babe assumes standard sweet spot positioning with Gehrig to the left, rating 4/10 and 3/10 respectively in black fountain pen ink. It's not a pristine sphere, but the exciting post-season possibilities add plenty of luster. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
