1921 Billy Sunday Signed Photograph Inscribed to Edd Roush. Billy Sunday took an odd path to notoriety, becoming one of the first popular stars of organized baseball during the 1880s before going on to become one of the most influential evangelists for the first two decades of the 20th century. Sunday traveled the country preaching the word of Christian conservatism to perhaps more than any one person has up until that point. Inscribed to future Hall of Fame member of the Cincinnati Reds Edd Roush, this handsome studio portrait that we present of Sunday here sports elegant black fountain ink along its bottom edge which reads "To my friend Ed[d] Roush. Real Fellow. W. A. (Billy) Sunday Psalm 37. April 1921." Matted and framed to measure about 10x13". LOA from PSA/DNA.
