    Description

1921-32 Baseball Magazine Photographs Lot of 21. The Golden Age of our National Pastime is documented with this stirring compilation of images from the famed Baseball Magazine archives. Six are the work of Charles Conlon, denoted by stamping or his own personal handwritten notations on verso. Early baseball photography afficionados are certainly familiar with Conlon, who is widely recognized as the premier lensman of early twentieth century baseball. The Conlon photos: George Case, George Caster, Ripper Collins, Tony Cuccinello, Bucky Walters, Lon Warneke (missing upper left corner). The balance: Lee Meadows, Rabbit Maranville, Bill McKechnie, Tom Hughes, Carmen Hill, Charlie Grimm, Larry Gardner, Jim Bivin/Erv Brame, Bill Brenzel, Hy Myers, Steve O'Neill, Gus Suhr, John Stone, Steve Swetonic, Doc Cramer. Condition ranges from VG to EX-MT, with the faults present typically confined to corner wear or chipping, leaving the central focus of the image unhampered. Size ranges from 5x7" to 8x10". All are top-quality images providing brilliant clarity and razor-sharp contrast.
