1919 Honus Wagner Signed Check Display. The Old Dutchman signs this check in his official duties as treasurer of something called the "Carnegie House Defense Police," a group located in his hometown on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. While the nature of this organization appears to have been lost to history, Wagner's black fountain pen ink has survived the passage of years admirably, with all writing, including his "J.H. Wagner, Treas." signature in his 8/10 black fountain pen ink. The check is matted and framed beneath an oversized image of his fabled T206 card, the lower edge slightly obscured by the matting and not examined outside the frame. The check provides a NRMT appearance in the display, which measures 13x21". Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
