1919 Charles Comiskey Signed Limited Edition Book. Extraordinarily rare signed volume dates to the darkest hours of Comiskey's baseball life, a year his world class White Sox would betray him and successfully conspire to throw the 1919 World Series for the benefit of crooked gamblers. Comiskey's autograph is quite difficult in any format, but only two hundred of these signed limited edition copies of his autobiography "Commy" were issued in that fateful year, and surely just a handful survive to this day. The page identifying this as number 36 is signed by the author in perfect 10/10 black fountain pen ink. The front of the spine has split and the original dust jacket is lost, but otherwise the book remains complete with typical edge and surface wear. One must forgive such reasonable flaws in light of the tremendous scarcity, and bid accordingly. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
