1910's Frank "Home Run" Baker Signed Family Bible. Bidders participating in our October 2005 Signature Auction will certainly remember the incredible Frank "Home Run" Baker Collection of personally owned artifacts, which included the record-setting 1911 Addie Joss Day Panoramic Photograph. Here we present a piece from that same collection that just recently surfaced, a tremendously personal object that served as both a spiritual guide and family chronology for the Hall of Fame third baseman. The attractive leatherbound Holy Bible will appeal most to collectors at the page entitled "Family Register," which finds the finest "John Franklin Baker" autograph known to man. Baker goes on to write his birthdate, the name and birthdate of his first wife Ottilie, and the date of their marriage. It should be noted that Ottilie's death in 1920 devastated Baker to such a degree that he missed the entirety of that season in despair. Baker's handwriting is also found on two subsequent pages, listing the names of his two children under "Births," and a heartbreaking listing in his hand under "Deaths:" that reads, "Infant Twins, Born & Died Jan 31st, 1914." All writing remains in fabulous condition. Beneath this listing, presumably in one of Baker's children's hand, are listed the dates of both Ottilie and John Franklin's deaths as well. The Bible itself shows only light edge wear, clearly having been cherished and well protected during its decades of service to the Baker family. We expect that the winning bidder will continue to provide it the reverence it deserves. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
