    Description

1903 Miller Huggins Signed Letter to August Herrmann. The man who would skipper the New York Yankees to its first three World Championships was just a young minor leaguer still a year short of his Major League debut when he sent this scouting letter to Cincinnati Reds president August Herrmann, leader of the team Huggins would join in 1904. Typed on a single page of "St. Paul Globe" letterhead (Huggins represented the St. Paul Saints of the American Association at the time), the correspondence is signed at the close in 9/10 black fountain pen ink. Original mailing folds and light toning evident, otherwise fine. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
