Description

1935-39 Indianapolis 500 Program Collection (5). Despite being from the height of the Great Depression, very little expense was spared in the production of these fine programs for the famed Indianapolis 500. Each cover features fine Art Deco design that was all the rage back then.

This lot contains a collection of five programs from 1935 until 1939, including: 1935- Discoloration throughout; small tears, soiling, creasing and erased pencil writing on front and reverse covers. Intact spine. 1936- Front and reverse covers exhibit some soiling and discoloration, minor folds, small pencil writing on verso. Spine and interior pages are strong. 1937- Nice example. Some minor wear to covers, including foxing due to age and small creases, otherwise strong. 1938- Foxing and creasing to the front and reverse covers. Some separation at the staples along the spine. Interior pages clean. 1939- One crease down the center of the front cover. Minor folds and wear to covers. Includes lap score sheet.
