1954 Stark & Wetzel PSA Graded Indy Winners Complete Set (37). The 1954 Stark & Wetzel set, issued by an Indiana meat packer, is a landmark in racing history as the first card set dedicated to the Indianapolis 500 and only the second auto racing set produced in the United States. These cards, used as backing boards for hot dogs, feature winners of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing," from Ray Harroun in 1911 to Bill Vukovich in 1953, with the 37-card count reflecting the years the race was not held during the World Wars (1917-18 and 1942-45). Their scarcity, compounded by many being discarded due to odor after removal from packaging, makes them a rare and highly sought-after piece of motorsport memorabilia.
