Description

1909-11 T206 Piedmont Kid Elberfeld (Portrait, Washington) PSA EX-MT 6.
Of the scarce variant found within the T206 series is the "Portrait, Washington" variation featuring infielder Kid Elberfeld. "The Tabasco Kid" was purchased for $5,000 by the Washington Senators from the New York Highlanders in December of 1909. Just a small number of his portrait cards show the "Washington" caption. It is one of those scarce additions that keep T206s enthusiasts on the constant lookout at shows and auction offerings. This is a very clean and bright example with precisely entered graphics and blemish-free surfaces. Quality and visual appeal is a hard combination to beat. The reverse displays a "Piedmont - 350 Subjects" with a Factory 25 designation. Graded a well deserved PSA EX-MT 6. Of cards unspecified and those with confirmed Piedmont backs, this is one of seventeen with ten higher.
