1921 Schapira Bros. Babe Ruth (Portrait) PSA Good 2. Schapira Bros. Inc. of New York had an exclusive agreement with Babe Ruth for a special promotion that allowed kids to acquire the ultimate prize to any youngster and most dads - An Autographed Babe Ruth Baseball! All that was needed to do was to "Send 250 Of These Pictures To Schapira Bros. Inc." This panel served as one of the facing panels of the box of Schapira candy. Even at a penny a box, that $2.50 was a monumental sum for most kids in the '20s. Offered is a nicely cut panel with key lines showing on all four sides. The 1-3/4 x 2-1/2" x 5/8" hand-cut card has deep hues and a solid obverse. A small area on the reverse is marred from being taped down, probably in a scrapbook of other vintage treasures.
