Description
1921 E253 Oxford Confectionary Babe Ruth PSA EX-MT 6 - Pop One, None Higher! The Oxford Confectionery is without question one of the more scarce and obscure series from the 1921 to 1923 era. Overshadowed and widely overlooked, the far greater availability of the National and American Caramel issues of this era have garnered most of the attention from modern hobbyists. That is a shame because this is a fascinating promotion of just twenty cards but features no less than 14 future HoFers. A key E253 subject is, of course Babe Ruth. When found, the thin paper stock leaves a mid-grade (if you're lucky) to low grade example, high-end cars like this Ruth are highly unlikely survivors nine+ decades later. Some modest corner wear is the lone note in regards to condition. Surfaces are clean and problem-free. Less than 10% of all E253's reviewed by PSA grade EX-MT or better. Graded PSA EX-MT 6. From a total population of only twenty-two, this is the highest graded example!More information about Babe Ruth Sports Player.
