Description
1910 E105 Mello-Mint Danny Murphy PSA VG 3. The Mello-Mint E105 series saw circulation somewhere right around the year 1910. The paper-thin cards are among the more scarce "E" collectibles where even after a small find that large centered on a few players some years ago, the number of E105's equals that of the landmark and famously rare E107 series. The set is one of a precious few that originate from the mid-west region of the United States. The distinct green color backs advertise the 50-card promotion was available inside Smith's Mello-Mint Gum, "The Texas Gum" with a manufacturing source of Texas Gum Company of Temple, Texas. It is safe to assume distribution was limited to the Texas region. This certainly would account for their rarity a century later.
