Description

1948 Leaf Sid Luckman Rookie (Yellow Background) #1 PSA NM 7. Sid Luckman - HoF quarterback who spent twelve seasons with the Chicago Bears, and was known as the man who successfully ushered in the T-formation of quarterbacking. A leader on the field, Sid was one of those players who didn't just play the game, he changed it forever. With few gridiron sets produced, his rookie appearance didn't happen until 1948 when he was already into his tenth season of his career. Luckman is featured as the opening card of the benchmark 1948 Leaf series making him one of the most condition sensitive cards of the set. This card has managed to avoid the ravages of time and bike spokes and has earned a PSA NM 7 rating. All four corners have slight wear but all come to tips, surfaces are clean, the yellow background still shining bright.
