1952 Bowman Mickey Mantle #101 PSA NM-MT 8

Best-In-Class Expert Analysis/Summary:

Much like its 1951 counterpart, the 1952 Bowman Mickey Mantle has its share of aesthetic challenges due to the design of the card and its inconsistent production quality. The borders are thin, which means the slightest shift in any direction creates a less-than-optimal visual. In fact, while the technical centering measurement might be acceptable within a specific grade, those thin borders can create the illusion that the centering is worse than it actually is. In addition to this example exhibiting terrific centering, it's the registration and depth of the colors that help take the card to an exceptional level of eye appeal. Even within the NM-MT 8 population, you will find noticeable variance in focus and color, especially in the flesh tones of Mantle and the blue in his cap. The combination of this card's well-balanced borders and superb print quality resulted in our Best-In-Class assessment.
