1935 National Chicle Bronko Nagurski #34 PSA NM 7. Recognized as one of the best defensive football players in the history of the sport, Bronco Nagurski was so good he is one of an elite class to have an award named in their honor. With far fewer sets produced compared to baseball, his card appearances are a precious few and always the most highly prized part of any vintage collection. His 1935 National Chicle entry - from the scarce high number run - is probably one of the top ten most important football cards ever produced. Bronko outpaces his closest competitor by multiples when it comes to desirability and value in the National Chicle set. Coveted in any condition, high-end specimens such as this are treasured by collectors who hold onto them and have a tendency to not let them go very easily.Graded PSA NM 7. One of seventeen for the grade with eight rated higher. The surfaces of this card are clean outside of mild print ghosting on the obverse. The colors are a supple and rich, his classic portrait rest a little right of center. Corners show mild amounts of wear at the tips, all coming to a visible 90-degree angle. A high quality example of a man revered by all football fans as much as he is to his alma mater from Minnesota. Eight decades after circulation, the surviving supply fails to meet collector demand.
