1887 N28 Allen & Ginter Chas. W. Bennett (Baseball) PSA Poor 1. The part-time catcher enjoyed a 15-year career in professional baseball during the late 19th century, a Detroit Wolverines fan favorite. His baseball livelihood ended in 1893 after a train accident. When the Tigers entered the American League in 1901, their new ballpark was named Bennett Park to show the city's respect for the player.
