Description

1887 N28 Allen & Ginter Chas. W. Bennett (Baseball) PSA Poor 1. The part-time catcher enjoyed a 15-year career in professional baseball during the late 19th century, a Detroit Wolverines fan favorite. His baseball livelihood ended in 1893 after a train accident. When the Tigers entered the American League in 1901, their new ballpark was named Bennett Park to show the city's respect for the player. This example features heavy corner tip wear, some paper loss and five pinholes on the surface. Graded PSA Poor 1.
