Results of Heritage's Amazing Sports Auction Internet #45021
Dallas, Texas: Heritage's Amazing Sports Auctions (ASA) sale #45031 ended Sunday, March 27, 2005. With 184 bidders competing, 88 were successful. Total sell-through was $44,765.67 for 296 lots sold (98.66% of the total).
A few highlights from the March 27 ASA sale are:
1972 Topps Baseball Complete Set with PSA-Graded Stars. Gorgeous NRMT set, with the only problems seeming to be the occasional centering issue. Virtually no signs of wear, with sharp corners across the board. Five have been slabbed by PSA: Fergie Jenkins #410 (Mint 9), Reggie Jackson #435 (NM-MT 8), Nolan Ryan #595 (NM-MT 8), Royals Team #617 (Mint 9) and Steve Garvey #686 (NM-MT 8). REALIZED: $1,195.
1933 World Wide Gum Mickey Cochrane #69 PSA NM-MT 8. The Canadian version of the important Goudey card. This one is in fantastic condition, with sharp corners, clean surfaces, and super-sharp corners. REALIZED: $1,075.50.
Ted Williams Single Signed Baseballs Lot of 5. Strong blue ink sweet spot signatures reside on moderately toned OAL (Brown) balls. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. REALIZED: $1,075.50.
1948-50 Multi-Signed "Who's Who in Baseball" Booklets. Obviously the labor of love of a young baseball fan, these three volumes offer dozens and dozens of NRMT-MT autographs from many of the men who made that era so thrilling on the Major League diamond. 1948 includes Appling (at least twice) and Mize. 1949 has Lopez, Lemon, Feller, Wynn, Snider, Irvin, Durocher, Bobby Thomson. 1950 is best, with Rizzuto, Stengel, Allie Reynolds, Mel Allen, Henrich, Joe DiMaggio, Lemon, Feller, Kell, Rick Ferrell, Pee Wee Reese, Hodges, Jackie Robinson, Newcombe, Snider, Spahn, Irvin, Durocher, Kiner and many more. Scores of autographs overall, with the vast majority in perfect condition. A very few have vintage tape over the signatures, but none of these are listed above. The books themselves are in quite ragged condition, and pages are occasionally torn or missing, as are covers, and bindings are sometimes loose. Again, these issues do not affect the quality of the signatures listed. Definitely some diamonds in the rough here. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. REALIZED: $896.25.
Joe DiMaggio Single Signed Baseball Lot of 4. All are signed in blue ink on the sweet spot of OAL balls. Three have desirable "#5" inscription, with one bearing a minor smudge. Each ball has very minor toning spots. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. UPDATE: This is now a lot of three balls, as one failed authentication. REALIZED: $896.25.

The way you grouped lots, photographed, and presented the material was too notch. I was impressed that you took the time to attribute coins to the Krause reference as their "plate coin" and that many of your descriptions included pertinent facts and inforView More Testimonials
