Description

1980's Tom Landry Game Worn Fedora with Photo Match. Perhaps only Alabama coach Bear Bryant was as famous for his sideline headwear as Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry, who sported this grey fedora during the days of Roger Staubach and Ed "Too Tall" Jones. The size "7 3/8" felt beauty bears the maker's mark of "Churchill Ltd." in the crown, with a golden "Made Especially for Tom Landry" embossed in the headband above the left ear. Just to the right, the iconic coach has signed "Best Wishes, Tom Landry" in 6/10 silver marker. Further establishing provenance beyond any shadow of a doubt is a color photo of Landry on the sidelines in Irving, looking appropriately regal with this hat perched on his head. Condition is flawless. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
