Description

1942 Babe Ruth, Bob Hope & Bing Crosby Signed Golf Scorecard. Three American icons faced off at the Sacramento Municipal Golf Course on March 1, 1942, a celebrity summit likely made possible by the Babe's west coast filming of the celebrated biopic "The Pride of the Yankees" memorializing his Murderer's Row compatriot Lou Gehrig. The fourth member of the quartet was Culbert L. Olson, the Governor of the State of California. We can report that it was Hope who held the lead when the scorer apparently stopped keeping track after the fifteenth. Bing, Bob, and the Babe then graced the scorecard with their 9/10 pencil autographs, creating what is likely the only autographed piece featuring this historic triumvirate. The 4.5x6" card stock relic exhibits the moderate degree of wear one would expect after close to seven decades of existence, but our catalog imagery should properly indicate that the display value is not hindered in the slightest.
