On April 5, 1915 legendary boxer Jess Willard defeated Jack Johnson for the first time the African American icon lost in more than 10 years. Offered here are original issues of the "Buffalo Evening News" and "Buffalo Evening Times" newspapers with significant headlines representing that historic fight. Papers are in very nice condition, with fraying toward the edges, due to the stocks brittle nature. Very significant pieces in the sport's history.Auction Info
