Mickey Mantle Signed Limited Edition Bat.
We all know how tough Mantle signed bats are (the Mick despised signing them!), but this example takes the scarcity a step further. This Artist's Proof lumber--note the "A/P" engraved on the barrel--is engraved with the date of the Yankee legend's induction and features an inset metal plaque that bears Mantle's 10/10 blue sharpie signature. A truly remarkable production piece, and clearly quite rare, as we've never seen another. Dead Mint!

1909-11 T206 Walter Johnson Portrait PSA VG-EX 4.
The more desirable of the two Walter Johnson rookies in the T206 issue, the portrait variation is presented here. "Big Train" went on to have such a dominant career that he was among the inaugural induction class into Cooperstown's Hall of Fame. This card exhibits centering a step above what is normally seen in the T206 issue.

1909-11 T206 Cy Young Portrait PSA VG-EX 4.
Of the three variations that Cy Young has in the famed T206 issue, the portrait seems to be the toughest. Touted among the finest hurlers of all time, Young made such a lasting impression upon the game with his amazing 511 wins, among other gaudy stats, that the powers that be have decided that the game's ultimate pitching award shall be named for none other than Cy himself.

1909-11 T206 Ty Cobb Portrait Green Background PSA Good 2.
The Ty Cobb green background portrait variation is the toughest of the T206 Cobbs by far. One look at the outstanding visual appeal of this card, and its not hard to see why many collectors rate it near the top of their list. Grading a PSA 2, centering issues that commonly plague this card have kept this marvelous card from rating even higher.

Circa 1957 Ty Cobb Signed Baseball.
What's a young baseball fan supposed to do? The opportunity is nigh to capture a Ty Cobb autograph, and the immediate challenge is providing a suitable medium. In a moment of pragmatic genius, a souvenir 1957 Yankee ball seems in order. With 27 simulated signatures about its surface (now basically faded to intensities of 1-4), a now much mellowed Mr. Cobb consented to sign this ball. Though perhaps not then apparent to any of the parties of this encounter, 1957 did mark the 50th anniversary of Cobb's first pennant-winning season. Graciously, Cobb in fact consented to sign this novelty piece -- in his traditional green ballpoint, no less -- and that autograph now projects from this ball to a quality of 5-6.

Jim Thorpe Signed Photograph.
Yet another contribution from our cache of rare Jim Thorpe signed photos, this 8x10" shows Thorpe shaking hands with a man clad in a suit while several others look on. Bold blue ink "Property of Jim Thorpe" inscription resides on the photo's verso. A small amount of creasing is evident around the corners of the photo, however that does little to affect overall display quality.

Cal Ripken, Jr. Baseball from Game 2,131.
When Gehrig went a tremendous 14 year without missing a game, no one thought the Iron Horse's streak could ever fall. From Cal Ripken Jr.'s 2,131st game in which he broke Gehrig's monumental mark, we offer this OAL (Budig) baseball. This memento from that game in Baltimore has with it an LOA from long-time AL umpire Durwood Merrill.

Jim Thorpe and two other men in suits are shown here in the 8x10" we present here. The rare Thorpe signature is found on the verso as part of the hand-written inscription "Property of Jim Thorpe, Helms Hall Los Angeles, 1951." Jim Thorpe Signed Photograph From the 1920 Summer Olympics.
This 8x10" photo captures a vast field of athletes as they file into the stadium for what appears to be opening ceremonies for the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. A photographer's stamp, as well as some stray markings, pepper the verso of this example. But the true uniqueness comes when observing the blue ink inscription, "Property of Jim Thorpe," written in the hand of the super-athlete himself. Another pencil inscription reads "General View, Olympic Games at Antwerp" and cannot definitively be attributed to Thorpe. Two of the corners have been severed and since repaired, doing little to rob from this piece's allure.
