1976 American & National League All-Star Team Signed Baseballs with President Ford.
The now-defunct Veterans Stadium in historic Philadelphia, site of the 1976 All-Star game, saw then-President Gerald Ford handle first pitch duties. This pair of ONL (Feeney) balls was signed at the game by the American and National League teams, respectively, with each ball housing its own Jerry ford signature. The A.L. ball is signed by 31 and is in remarkable form, highlighted by a very strong blue ink signature by the game's starting catcher Thurman Munson. Signatures average 8-9/10. Other notables include Brett, Lemon, Hunter, Fisk, Tiant, Lynn, Carew, Fingers and more. The N.L. ball, while rating a bit lower than its A.L. counterpart, still has 20 signatures legible enough to average 6-7/10 for the lot. Notable here are Schmidt, Seaver, Perez, Sparky Anderson, Griffey, Foster, and the year's Cy Young winner Randy Jones. Excellent All-Star memento with unique presidential appeal.
