Baseball 1961 Topps Mickey Mantle #300 PSA NM-MT 8.
This was one of the hottest cards in the summer of '61, as the man with the mischevious grin on the front battled a teammate for home run history. Perfect gloss and centering!

Sold For:
$1,015.75
Baseball 1965 Topps Mickey Mantle #350 PSA NM-MT 8.

Sold For:
$836.50
Joe DiMaggio "#5" Single Signed Baseball Lot of 3.
Trio of OAL (Budig) balls offers the highly desirable signature variation. Each autograph has a minor smudge that does little to detract. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.

| Lot: 10275 | Jan 2, 2005
Sold For:
$737.32
Baseball 1964 Topps Mickey Mantle #50 PSA NM-MT 8.
Other cards could take lessons on centering from this one, and gloss and corners aren't far behind. An essential, high-grade Mickey.
Auction 44121
| Lot: 10047 | Jan 2, 2005
Sold For:
$657.25
Baseball 1951 Bowman Bob Elliott #66 PSA Mint 9.
The cream of the crop--none ever graded higher. If this card doesn't define pack-fresh, we don't know what does. Even the centering is beyond reproach! Wow!
Auction 44121
| Lot: 10004 | Jan 2, 2005
Sold For:
$448.13
Baseball 1957 Topps Bob Clemente #76 PSA NM-MT 8.

Baseball 1975 Topps Mini George Brett #228 PSA Mint 9.

Sold For:
$418.25
Baseball 1952 Topps Joe Garagiola #227 PSA NM-MT 8.
Fewer than ten of close to 300 such specimens graded have surpassed the offered card at PSA. Great corners and centering are so rare from this first Topps set.
Auction 44121
| Lot: 10012 | Jan 2, 2005
Sold For:
$388.38
Baseball 1962 Topps Bob Clemente #10 PSA NM-MT 8.
A great card from a very condition-sensitive set. Full bleed edges make it hard to keep these cards pristine, so this amazing specimen should get your complete respect.
Auction 44121
| Lot: 10040 | Jan 2, 2005
Sold For:
$388.38
Baseball 1955 Topps Phil Rizzuto #189 PSA NM-MT 8.

Baseball 1911 T206 Nap Lajoie with Bat GAI VG/EX+ 4.5
This card of Lajoie has the usual wear you would expect to see from a card of this age and this grade. The corners are ever so slightly touched, and there are a few small tobacco stains on the card due to the fact that it was packaged with Polar Bear tobacco, which was scrap tobacco packed loosely in the tin, so it was touching the card from the moment it was packaged. The registration and color on this card are outstanding, much better than one would expect from a card of this grade.
Auction 44121
| Lot: 10001 | Jan 2, 2005
Sold For:
$310.70
1952 Topps Willie Mays #261.
Willie's other rookie. G-VG card has corner crease, rounded corners and chipping of lower border, but centering is strong and the eye appeal surpasses the technical grade.
Auction 44121
| Lot: 10090 | Jan 2, 2005
Sold For:
$310.70
Baseball 1956 Topps Yogi Berra #110 PSA NM-MT 8.

| Lot: 10069 | Jan 2, 2005
Sold For:
$286.80
Hack Wilson Signed Baseball.
Your best chance to get this very tough Hall of Fame autograph on a baseball that you can afford. Admittedly, this baseball has seen better days, but Wilson's blue ink signature is quite easy to discern, even though the majority of the "Hack" is obscured by a scuff. There are several other signatures on the ball, but we can't quite make these out. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.
Auction 44121
| Lot: 10270 | Jan 2, 2005

Mickey Mantle & Duke Snider Signed Baseball.
Two-thirds of the Hall of Fame center field trio, and you could still get Willie's autograph if you wanted! Or perhaps you'd prefer to display the ball as a Mickey single, since they're so hot (and expensive) these days. Each blue ink signature is 10/10, and the OAL (Brown) ball displays wonderfully. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.

| Lot: 10271 | Jan 2, 2005
Sold For:
$262.90
1876 De Witt's Base Ball Guide for 1876.
Exceptionally early book discusses rules and regulations of this new game (underhand pitching is still required), with professional stats for guys like Anson and Cummings. One-hundred page digest ends with sporting goods ads offering full color images of caps, and an assortment of bats. Spine and edge wear is to be expected, but the book is solid and complete. Thrilling read for a baseball historian.

Baseball 1958 Topps Ernie Banks #310 PSA NM-MT 8.
With corners, edges and surfaces like this, it could only be the 35/65 left/right centering that keeps this card from a Mint 9 rating.

1940's Multi-Signed Baseball with Musial, Feller.
OAL (Harridge) ball offers fifteen vintage ink signatures, though we cannot sense any common theme--likely it was just a baseball that a young fan took to the park when he had tickets and had signed by whomever he could. The playing-days Musial and Feller are the biggest names, though Mickey Vernon, Johnny Sain and Ken Keltner are no slouches either. Shellac coating keeps the signatures at an average of 8/10. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.
