Description

2005 Houston Astros National League Championship Prototype Ring.

Too nice.

That was the ruling from Major League Baseball, which decreed that the runner-up in the World Series should not receive rings superior to those issued to the Champs. So this fourteen karat gold sample by the Houston based "Intergold" remained just that, with the final product considerably more subdued. But one lucky collector can still enjoy this fine craftsmanship, and the sea of real diamonds that surrounds a ruby logo star on the face. "National League Champions Astros" rings the perimeter. The team owner's surname "McLane" appears upon left shank above logos of the Astros and National League. Right shank pictures the home ballpark and the logo of the Series below a bold "2005." Weight is just over fifty-five grams (55 g.). Band is size twelve and a half (12.5), with "Intergold 14K" stamped inside.
