1992 Macho Man Randy Savage Ring Worn & Twice Signed Outfit from The Macho Man Randy Savage Collection - Used in Feud with Ric Flair & Shawn Michaels.UPDATE: Outfit is signed twice.
The feud between "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Ric Flair was one of wrestling's most intense rivalries, blending personal drama and in-ring excellence. Their animosity peaked in WWE during WrestleMania VIII when Flair claimed to have had a relationship with Savage's wife, Miss Elizabeth, igniting a deeply personal conflict. Flair taunted Savage with fabricated photos and cutting promos, escalating the tension. Their battles spilled into WCW, where their fiery matches and promos captivated fans. The Savage-Flair rivalry showcased their storytelling prowess, blending Flair's arrogance and technical skill with Savage's intensity and passion, creating unforgettable moments in wrestling history.
Two of the finest men to enter the squared circle feuded in 1992 when Savage and Flair were adversaries. This, shall we say, colorful outfit was worn by Savage when he was embroiled in his bitter battles with Flair. The colors and configurations of the offered garment are pure early 1990's. The sleeve openings are frayed and tassels are present on both sides. Savage signed the shirt in felt tip. A matching scarf completes this unique ensemble. Savage wore the outfit at a house show in 1992 and also in a promo during the Flair feud. Given the nice use, he may have worn it longer.
We were also able to unearth footage from when Savage fought Shawn Michaels April 14, 1992 in Munich, Germany. We are including an on-line image from that encounter. There is also a promo during the feud where Savage is again wearing this colorful style.
This outfit was meticulously crafted by Michael Braun who made Macho Man's outfits in the 1980's through the end of his career. Braun also created clothes for Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and Hulk Hogan before his wrestling career took form. Letter of provenance from Barbara Lynn Poffo. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
