1951 National League Playoffs Game Three (Bobby Thomson "Shot Heard 'round the World") Ticket Stub, PSA Good 2--Pop Three, Two Superior! It's the most famous home run in the history of baseball, the final, knockout blow landed in a battle of attrition between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants that captivated the Big Apple and the larger baseball world for the final weeks of the National League regular season and the three-game playoffs scheduled when the two teams found themselves deadlocked after 154 games. For all the heartbreak piled upon the Bums faithful by the mighty Yankees, the three-run walk-off blast by Bobby Thomson against Dodgers ace Ralph Branca remains the deepest and most painful wound ever inflicted in the fierce rivalries of New York City baseball.

This stub was in the pocket of a Polo Grounds rooter as Thomson sent the home crowd into paroxysms of joy, best documented by radio announcer Russ Hodges elated call, "The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant!" The victory would bring together the two greatest center fielders of their day together for a high stakes rookie-season Fall Classic showdown. This is one of three stubs at the Good 2 level of the PSA population ladder, with just two superior. Encapsulated by PSA, Good 2.
