1934 Tour of Japan Multi-Signed Baseball with Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig. It was a story that had it all. Exotic locales, legendary athletes, international espionage. When the best of this nation's Major Leagues exploded onto the scene in the Land of the Rising Sun, the baseball world was changed forever. Relics from this groundbreaking event nearly nine decades ago are among the most rare and desirable in the hobby, and here we present some Oriental horsehide bearing the black fountain pen signatures of nine key figures from the trans-Pacific excursion.The Babe takes his standard sweet spot position with marvelous 8/10 strength, a quality matched by fellow long ball leviathan Lou Gehrig nearby. Other signers: Connie Mack (6/10), Lefty Gomez (8/10), Moe Berg (7/10), John Quinn (8/10), Bing Miller (7/10), Lefty O'Doul (8/10) and a Japanese signature that is a second autograph from the famously polylingual Moe Berg. The stamping of the ball has faded from visibility but this is almost certainly the official model used on the Japan Tour as its stitching is a perfect match. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
