Description

Circa 1930s Jimmie Foxx Original News Service Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. The piercing eyes of James Emory Foxx stare through the catcher's mask which he donned sparingly throughout his two decades in the Bigs. While images of Double-X are far from rare - though still valuable given his prestigious power - the Hall of Famer played only 108 of his 2,200 career games behind the plate making this particular 8x10" image stand out from the crowd. Moderate-to-heavy wear exhibited with chipping in the corners and edges as well as creasing found throughout. Red "World Wide Photos" stamp found below blue ink notations and other identifying marks. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Type 1.
