Mike Greenbaum spent many summer afternoons haunting these now-lost monuments to our national pastime, his hands gripping trading cards relating to whatever teams doing battle that day.

While the signed baseball card has become so entrenched in the hobby that the trading card companies themselves are involved in their production and distribution today, young Greenbaum was decades ahead of his time in this pursuit, and this auction features some of the most precious treasures of his baseball-mad youth. They are consigned to auction by his brother, who inherited the collection after Mike's recent passing.
