Those Yankee fans who, in 1949, had cursed the Yankee brass for bringing in some bum who had never managed better than a fifth-place finish in the Major Leagues had certainly changed their tunes by the time Casey was presented with this black bat, representing his fifth consecutive World Championship in his five years in the Bronx. This beautiful gift from Hillerich & Bradsby features the block lettered names or facsimile signatures of all members of this storied squad, with Stengel's triple the size of the rest.
