Description
1920 W519 Unnumbered Babe Ruth SGC Authentic. Pending more information in regards to an exact date of issue the W519 series gave baseball fans and card collectors one of, if not the first card of the man who would become an icon dressed in his New York Yankees finest. The day after Christmas in 1919 the x-mas smiles of Boston baseball fans would turn upside down as history was made when the Red Sox sold Ruth to the hated Yankees for $100,000 and the rest is history. Offered is his W519 strip card, the Unnumbered variety issued in 1920 of Babe Ruth showing that trademark grin and the unquestionable Yankees logo on his cap.
